Pure and Simple — Just Champions.
Marvel Champions's is a no-code site unlike others you may have tried in the past. You needn't know a single lick of html or line of css to create an elegant post or a bueatiful character app thanks to our site's proprietary system which will do all the coding for you from making a character to creating a thread or writing a reply. Everything, including images, will be styled for you down to the finest detail, freeing you up to concentrate on the reason your theoretically here for, to RP; You shouldn't have to know how to "code" in order to roleplay.
At this time, MCu allows for both characters of your own creation (OCs) and adaptions of characters featured from the Marvel Canon (FCs). Their is one caveat though, villains are not allowed at this time. They can be checked out from the character Rolodex for the purposes of an approved storyline (talk to an admin regarding such stories and character check-outs from the Rolodex).
When you make a character, you will find that we have created a guided system with many help features to help you create a character quickly that is rich in detail without the need to spend months researching a particular character. So long as the character is faithful to the spirit of the character and could be easily inserted into the Marvel Cinematic Universe without requiring any revisions or changes to pre-existing characters or events.
When creating a character, as mentioned prior, we are OC friendly as they say. We have no limits on the amount of OCs you can create, but they must be made with our guidelines. The first OC can not be of epic proportions and abilities as it is your first character and from which your first experiences and our first interactions will flow. There are very few powers which we will restrict, or limit the instances of characters possessing those powers and abilities. If that means we have a gatrillion telepaths, so be it, so long as each and every one of those gazillion telepaths feels unique and original, hence the term OC (Original Character). Likewise, an OC should not read like a better version of Wolverine or Rogue. OC's can be related to other characters including Featured Characters. If the FC to be linked to an OC is currently in play, both staff and the member handling the FC must give their prior concent before character creation can commence.
In addition to the restrictions reguarding villains, certain FCs are restricted for various reasons ranging from absurdity to complexity to difficulties in character adaption.
