A Day In The Life: Kate Bishop

A Day In The Life: Kate Bishop (#TiD-37) GrandMaster

SCENE SET »  Manhattan's Upper East Side; A leafy home to the City's elite, the Upper East Side is a place for pastry, pearls and pocket squares. Refined culture and shopping are the name of the game up here. Case in point: Museum Mile, whose institutions include big names like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum alongside gems like Neue Galerie and the Frick Collection. The shopping options offer a chance to get a new wardrobe from luxury boutiques and high-end department stores. It was here that she had grown up.

Today, let's call it Thursday, a beautiful day to live in the shadow of the Museum Mile; The sky was blue and crystal clear, the temperature was surprisingly moderate for a mid-summer's day, a gentle breeze rustling through the shade trees which lined the streets.

The streets themselves teemed with life, hotdog vendors on corners, meter maids handing out tickets, kids in little uniforms holding hands in a line marching to some destination bookended by their teachers, small boutiques and organic specialty markets mixed in with chic little boutiques selling everything from custom made jams to rare and exotic handwoven blankets, along with the odd Mobile carrier which seemed to becoming more and more prevent everywhere you looked.

This was the 'hood' Kate Bishop had gown up in.
