Shiro is a very no-nonsense man. He is usually quiet and reserved, only adding his two cents when there is something important to be said. He is usually so cool and collected that people often view him as a "cold fish", but that is because he is so disciplined that he can keep his strong feelings under cover, only bringing them to the surface when absolutely necessary, and only to people he implicitly trusts.

Power Description:

SOLAR Flare: Shiro's mutant powers enable him to absorb solar and other radiation to generate the process of ionized matter (usually air) through a mentally-triggered unknown biochemical process so that it is converted to plasma, the superheated state of matter. Plasma is the state in which matter making up the sun exists; hence, Sunfire refers to his projecting "solar fire". Hence he can sheath his body in flame. Flight: He can use his powers to create super-heated air currents which push him forward through the air, enabling him to fly. Sometimes this super-heated air is visible as a trail of flame behind Sunfire. The upper limit to the speed Sunfire can achieve in flight is not yet known, although it is known to be greater than that of the Angel, who can reach 150 miles per hour. Plasma Blasts: He has the ability to project the flames he generates as powerful blasts of energy. Plasma Emanation: Sunfire can generate plasma temperatures which match those that can be generated by the Human Torch, reaching about 1,000,000 degrees Fahrenheit at maximum level. He can also use his power in a massive blast similar to Johnny Storm's "Nova Burst". However, Shiro has much more control over the area of effect, enough to where one person may feel like they have been sunbathing all day to total incineration of another target. Heat Signature Sense: He has the ability to sense beings by the heat signature that they give off. Plasma Shield: He has the ability to manipulate the plasma around him to form an aura that can melt incoming bullets or stave off other attacks. Solar Shielding Psi-field: He is protected from the heat and radiation he emits by a short-range psionic force field which automatically comes into being whenever there is air friction, and also prevents excessive amounts of light from the plasma from reaching his eyes so as to blind or damage them. Sunfire's body emits a protective field whenever he uses his powers. However, it is speculated that he can generate power in excess of his natural protection. He has also retained some abilities from Apocalypse's enhancement: Bio-Oxygen Generation: When Sunfire was transformed into the Horseman of Famine, he was given the ability to produce oxygen, allowing him to maintain his flames and breathe in areas lacking oxygen, like deep space.

BLOODLINE - A blood line is a line of people whom carry the same name or ability, and is more commonly referred to as a

BUSHIDO CODE: This is the honor code of the Japanese warrior. It demands a good death for the warrior with his honor intact -- one might say that being prepared for death is the ever-present theme of this philosophy. Other aspects include filial piety, rectitude, martial prowess, honor, methods of raising children, and caring for one's appearance and grooming. But above all, the code demands absolute loyalty to one's lord, even if that lord orders the samurai to kill himself or destroy everything he loves. And if his lord forbids it, a samurai cannot avenge himself against someone who has insulted or dishonored her, leaving the samurai to suffer from the insult and loss of face, silently bearing the shame until he either kills himself or his lord rescinds the order. If someone else insults the samurai's lord, the samurai must answer that insult. ICY: Shiro usually shows no reaction to anything. Others may consider him to be a cold fish. MORTAL: When it comes down to the nitty-gritty, Shiro is only human. His body is as susceptible to pain, injury and disease as that of the next person.

IPhone (SmartPhone): A type of 'smart phone' made by Apple, the 'iPhone' is a kind of mobile phone which offers advanced capabilities beyond those typical of a mobile phone, often with PC-like functionality.

Shiro has a fleet of various automobiles at his command, in Japan and in America.

Character History:

Shiro Yoshida was born into one of the most wealthy and influential families in Japan, his father - Lord Saburo Yoshida - being the leader of the powerful Clan Yashida. His father handed over leadership of the clan to his eldest brother, Shingen, after Shiro was born, and he and his younger brother, Tomo, raised baby Shiro after his mother died during childbirth. A few years later, Saburo remarried, and Shiro's half-sister Leyu was born.

Saburo couldn't resist the pull of a political career, and a few years after Leyu was born, he became an ambassador for the United Nations, leaving the upbringing of his children to his brother, Tomo, who became a very influential figure in Shiro's life. Tomo was not as diplomatic as his older brother - he fanatically hated America and the Western world, and he ingrained the same hatred into Shiro. Saburo never would have approved of such a thing, but he had no idea what his brother was teaching his son. He was too busy with his career.

To further strengthen Shiro's growing hatred of America, he took a teenage Shiro to visit Hiroshima, where the atomic bombs had been dropped, marking the end of World War II. Being in an area of such high radioactivity triggered Shiro's atomic flame powers. His uncle spent a few years training Shiro in the use of his powers, and Shiro eventually learned basic control over them. Tomo decided to use Shiro as a weapon against the United States, and he gave his nephew a uniform made from the colors of the Japanese flag and the codename: Sunfire.

A few weeks later, Shiro's father invited him and his uncle to visit him in America, as he was to give a speech to the UN at the United States' Capitol Building in Washington DC. During the speech Shiro made an appearance as Sunfire and disrupted his own father's speech, making it clear that he intended to destroy the Capitol Building. It didn't take long for the confused Shiro to leak his identity to his father, who met Sunfire at the top of the Capitol Building and tried desperately to convince his son that he was in the wrong. Shiro was torn about his position - did he believe his father who he loved and honored, or his uncle who taught him everything he knew? Tomo decided to take matters into his own hands and attempted to shot Saburo. Shiro vaporized the bullet and saved his father in front of the whole world to see via telecast. Shiro attempted to catch uncle but he escaped by pushing his brother off the building. Shiro flew down and caught his father but burned him on the way down. Shiro was mortified that he had injured his father's arm.

Professor Charles Xavier had been in attendance during this event, and he managed to convince the law (perhaps by using his telepathy) to release Sunfire into his custody. Shiro agreed to come to Xavier's school for mutants, where he was a student at the school, and he went through more training with his powers and earned his high school diploma. Shiro's father was healed at the school by one of Xavier's other students and Mr. Yashida was convinced this was the right place for shiro to learn how to use and conquer his gifts.
