Green hair

Lorna stands at a shorter five-foot-six, though her size does not limit her in any way when it comes to holding her own in physical altercations or verbal disputes. Bright green hair frames her face, matching the lime green irises of her eyes. When she uses her powers, her eyes glow a furious green that almost resembles a glow stick.

Her skin is smooth and relatively pale, much like her siblings. She takes after her mother when it comes to her physique, lacking an overt amount of muscle mass. While she is far from petite, lorna does not look like the warrior she really is. Her body, while well toned, is void of rippling muscles or protruding veins like other mutants.

"Congratulations on figuring out you're one of the bad guys"~ Lorna Dane.

G - General. Suitable For Members Of All Ages; No Maiming, Mutitilating, Or Other Possible Traumatic Situations. Prior Explicit Player Consent Required Before Event Inclusion.

Magneto's forgotten daughter

Crusader - Hersself has a vision for making the world a better place, be it through something as vast and sweeping as democratic reform or as a pedestrian eliminating jaywalkers from the city streets. Crusaders live for their ideals instead of merely preaching them, hoping to effect change by actions and example. Social activists, young politicians, rookie cops, and junior reporters often exemplify this archetype.

Defender - You stand guard over that for which you care.

Lorna Dane is far from quiet or reserved; in fact, she tends to be brutally honest and put people in their place (specifically her brother and a certain Cajun). While Lorna still doesn't completely buy into the idea of being fundamentally good, she finds herself fighting the good fight more often than not and is more than willing to sacrifice her own life in order to accomplish her mission and to protect those she cares about (also her brother and a certain Cajun).

A fierce fighter and an even fiercer woman, Lorna doesn't take anyone's crap and is more than willing to tell people where to shove it when they cross her. Despite this, she is hesitant to kill. Citing her father's lack of regard for human life, Lorna goes to great lengths to avoid casualties at her own hands. However, Lorna won’t sacrifice the safety of others in order to preserve the life of one.

Most importantly, Lorna is extremely unstable. She can go from complacent to dangerous in a tenth of a second. Her dependency on alcohol does not make her any more amicable, either, and instead typically leads to more violence. Lorna is not one to be trifled with at any point in time.

She also suffers from Depression which can affect her behaviour & mood.

Power Description:

MAGNETIC FIELD MANIPULATION :: Can manipulate magnetism. While lorna is capable of using her powers to the extent of her father, magneto, she has yet to use them to the same extent. Currently, lorna's primary use of her powers is to manipulate magnetic, gravitational, and and electrical fields, mostly lifting and manipulating metal to her will.

MAGNETIC FORCE-FIELDS :: Used to protect herself and/or large groups from harm. Can also be used to suspend persons or objects in the air.

FLIGHT (Magnetically assisted): Can suspend herself by riding rigid magnetic fields. In order to do so, she must be where here metallic harness so that she had enough ferious material for her powers to affect/provide lift.

ELECTROMAGNETIC SIGHT :: Is capable of perceiving the world around her as electrical and magnetic energy. She can also perceive a person's natural magnetic aura.

MAGNETIC PULSE :: Focus magnetic energy into powerful concussive blasts. Can also be used to overload or short-circuit electrical systems.

GEOMAGNETIC LINK :: As the earth's emf field is affected, so is lorna. She is granted a form of immortality and a very limited healing factor by the field.

ORGANIC IRON MANIPULATION :: Control over materials such as the small amounts of iron present in a human's blood, allowing her to puppeteer a person with the use of their blood or even reverse the flow to render them unconscious.

METAL/MATTER MANIPULATION :: Can fully manipulate anything metal and can exert influence on non-metallic materials through the manipulation of the gravitational field.

ELECTROMAGNETIC MANIPULATION :: Ability to manipulate the electromagnetic spectrum and some energies (ie. Electricity, electromagnetic/magnetic energy). Polaris has a connection to this field, allowing her to handle various types of energies (ie. Electric, gamma, x-rays, ultraviolet, visible light, lasers, etc).

Coaching - She is good at training up the new recruits & those who generally have difficulty in improving the control & use of their powers.

Coordinating - Lorna is good at ensuring people are placed where they're best useful during any event, she can then ensure everyone knows what they have to do.

Driving - Self explanatory.

Character History:

Lorna Dane was orphaned only weeks after her birth when her parents supposedly died in a plane crash. She was adopted by the Danes, a couple who claimed to be her mother's sister and brother-in-law, and did not learn of her adoption or the fate of her birth parents until she was nearly twenty years old.

Lorna had been born with green hair, which she always kept dyed brown so that she would not be seen as "different." Lorna’s hair color was the only outward sign of her latent genetic potential for magnetic powers, but certain genetic factors were absent which would have allowed her to exercise those powers. In the normal course of events, Lorna would never have been able to use these powers. However, the intervention of Samuel "Starr" Saxon, the master roboticist whose brain patterns were later preserved in the Machinesmith, altered the normal course of events. Saxon had constructed an android duplicate of Magneto, the self-styled mutant master of magnetism who was believed dead at the time, and a small army of androids with strange powers called the Demi-Men. Saxon's plans were to use these androids as his means of accumulating vast wealth and power, while deceiving the world into believing them to be examples of evil mutants, who had become objects of widespread fear.

Saxon sought mutants to help lead his army while he gave directions through the Magneto robot. First, Saxon had the robot Magneto recruit the hypnotic mutant Mesmero to serve as second in command. Then, Saxon decided that a mutant who was a natural source of vast magnetic power would be useful in dealing with his metal robot army. Saxon acquired a "psyche-generator" which Mesmero used to summon mutants in North America with latent powers to San Francisco, and the nearest such mutant was Lorna. Mesmero and his androids captured her and placed her inside a genetic stimulator, which altered her genetic structure so as to allow her to exercise her latent powers. Mesmero then used his hypnosis on Lorna to alter her personality so that she would sympathize with the faux Magneto and believe him to be her father.

Shortly afterwards, however, Mesmero dropped his control over Lorna, overconfidently assuming that she would obey her supposed father unquestioningly. Contrarily, after it was revealed to her that Magneto was not her father, Lorna assisted the teenage mutant heroes known as the X-Men in defeating the villains. Lorna subsequently joined the X-Men, and eventually became a teacher at Professor X's school for the Gifted; There she taught the younglings to develop their abilities & learn to use them to their advantage.

She has a strong hate for the Sentinels for their discrimination against Mutants & their role in the detriment, disappearance & death of Mutants all across North America. To counter them, she along with a few other brave Mutants seek out Mutants & take them under their wing in the safety of the schools grounds or/& Mutant underground locations (Safe havens for Mutants hidden throughout the USA)
