Hair Color:

Black, Natural

Features:

Slim build, strong bone structure

Appearance:

Miles is a very good-looking teenager of mixed race heritage. His features are the best of both of his cultures, African American and Latin. He possesses a slender frame, and strong bone structure. His medium brown complexion shines and complements his deep brown eyes and black hair very nicely. His body frame is similar to that of a dancer, which probably helps with his very limber movements.

While he is not the most fashion forward young man, he can occasionally be spotted wearing some of the trendier fashions. This, however, is only when he has saved enough money to afford them. Normally he can be found in a regular shirt and jeans, when he is not in uniform.

Spider Suit: Miles wears a full body "Spider Suit" composed of a spandex like material. The suit is completely black with red trim, and a red spider on the back and front of the costume. The costume is also fitted with doubled sided lenses covering the ey

PERSONALITY

Quote:

"With great power comes great responsibility. What would Peter Parker do? "

Theme Song:

Big Wild - Ayahuasca at night

Waiver:

G - General. Suitable For Members Of All Ages; No Maiming, Mutitilating, Or Other Possible Traumatic Situations. Prior Explicit Player Consent Required Before Event Inclusion.

Concept:

Not Spider Man

Orientation:

Polysexual

Demeanor:

Child - You are still immature in personality and temperament: a kid who never grew up. Though you can (hopefully) care for hisself, you prefer the security of being watched over by others. Often you seek out someone to look out for you---a caretaker of sorts. Some see you as a spoiled brat, while others see you as an innocent cherub unaffected by the evils of the world. This is a very common archetype for Kindred who were created when they were young and subsequently matured mentally, but not emotionally.

Nature:

Defender - You stand guard over that for which you care.

Personality:

Miles is a very outgoing and optimistic, and secretive young man, for the most part. He is still growing and maturing and, because of this, he can at times exhibit behaviors that many would liken to a child. He tries his best to act like an adult, taking care of others, and trying to put everyone first. But there are times he can come off as shallow, spoiled, and a little naïve. This doesn’t bother him as he still considers himself a work in progress. He is very new to the idea of being a hero and, at times, his behavior can seem more in line with that of an anti-hero instead of what many have come to expect from a hero.

Power Description:

Spider Physiology: Miles Morales gained the proportionate abilities of a spider after being bitten by a spider, which had been genetically modified with the Oz formula.

Superhuman Strength: Miles possesses superhuman strength, capable of lifting anywhere from seven to eight tons under optimal conditions. His physical strength also extends into his legs, granting him the ability to jump to a height of several stories in a single bound.

Superhuman Speed: Miles possesses the proportionate speed of a spider; therefore he can run and move at speeds that are beyond the physical limits of the finest human athlete.

Superhuman Stamina: Miles’ advanced musculature produces less fatigue toxins during physical activity than an ordinary human. This allows him to exert himself physically for much longer periods of time before fatigue begins to impair him. At his peak, he can physically exert himself for several hours before the build up of fatigue toxins in his blood begins to impair him.

Superhuman Durability: Miles' body is physically tougher and more resistant to some types of injury than the body of a normal human. His body is also more resistant to impact forces than most humans. He can withstand great impacts, such as being thrown through a plate-glass window, or brick wall, an only sustain minimal injuries.

Superhuman Agility: Miles' agility, balance, flexibility and bodily coordination are all enhanced to levels that are far beyond the natural physical limits of an Olympic-level gymnast. Some estimate he may be fifteen times more agile than the average human being.

Superhuman Equilibrium: Miles possesses the ability to achieve a state of perfect equilibrium in any position imaginable. He seems able to adjust his position by instinct, which enables him to balance himself on virtually any object, no matter how small or narrow.

Superhuman Reflexes: Miles’ reflexes are similarly enhanced and are currently about fifteen times greater than those of an ordinary human. In combination with his spider-sense, the speed of his reflexes allows him to dodge almost any attack.

Wall Crawling: Miles can cling to any surface using just his fingertips and feet. The extent to how much pressure he can stick to walls is thus far unknown, except that he can handle lifting his own weight. He can use this ability even if he is wearing gloves or shoes.

Spider-Sense: When danger is present, Miles feels a buzzing sensation in his head as a sort of early warning system, allowing him to react accordingly. His Spider-Sense seems to still be developing and currently only is triggered when he is in immediate danger. There is no telling how strong this ability may become as he matures.

Bio-Electro kinesis: Miles possesses control over the natural electricity his body produces. He is capable of utilizing it for offensive purposes.

Venom Blast: Miles can electrocute his enemies or destroy technology by releasing a small spark of electricity from his hands. Several seconds after the initial spark, anything he is in contact with will be electrocuted. It seems that there are varying degrees to this ability, as some opponents have been simply dazed where others have been completely incapacitated. This could be because Miles is still developing this power and can not control the amount of energy released. It also seems this ability is more effective on people with genetic alterations, such as the Green Goblin and Venom. This power provides a great advantage as Miles can end a confrontation quickly with little collateral damage, although this power can be a liability for Miles as it sometimes is involuntarily triggered due to extreme stress.

Energy Burst: His most recently discovered power. Miles displayed the ability to project powerful bursts of energy from his body. After every use this leaves Miles very fatigued, often forcing him to rest and momentarily distorting his equilibrium. This power can be triggered by extreme emotional stress, or through concentration. When triggered a burst of energy strong enough to destroy a small room pulses from Miles' body.

Spider-Camouflage: Miles, including his clothing, can blend into his surroundings, allowing him to sneak up on his enemies or, in some cases, flee from them. The resulting effect closely resembles that of invisibility. This ability is still being developed and causes enough strain on Miles’ body that he can only hold his camouflaged state for five minutes at a time.

Regeneration: Miles is able to regenerate his injuries at a much faster rate than normal humans can. Although the extent to which he regenerates is unknown, he has been seen to heal cuts and bruises in only a few minutes. Due to this it is speculated that more serious injury, such as broken bones and near fatal injuries may heal in only a matter or hours or days.

Aptitude:

Escape Artist: Miles is a very limber young man who has had significant practice is getting himself out of tight situations. With his current set of abilities, strength level, and athleticism, he finds it very
easy to wriggle out of bindings, break through fetters, and escape from what most others would consider inescapable situations.

Acrobatics: Miles’ abilities grant him reflexes and acrobatic skills far beyond those of even the finest Olympic level athlete. With little or no real effort on his part, he can perform a multitude of leaps, flips, tumbles, etc.… As he does this he never has to worry about stumbling off balance or injuring himself.

Occult Lore: Miles has long been fascinated with the occult and paranormal. He has spent countless hours reading up on the subject, watching ghost hunters and other television series, and has even visited a haunted house or two. He has recently begun to collect various books on witchcraft and the occult, although he does not dare to practice any of the spells or charms they contain. He also has many books on identifying other worldly entities.

Stealth: Miles is naturally stealthy due to the powers that have been given to him. His high level of agility, acrobatic prowess, and ability to cling to nearly any surface help him to approach enemies from numerous undetected positions. If we add in his spider sense and his ability to blend into his surrounding, granting him a temporary form of near invisibility, he is a stealthy force to be reckoned with.

Negotiations: There is no denying that Miles is a charmer, and has a quick and witty sense of humor. Using these attributes, he finds it very easy to negotiate himself out of the tough situations. When he does this, he often uses his common sense and ability to pay attention to detail, in order to influence others around him.

Merit:

Hard To Kill: Simply put, the Anansi is incredibly difficult to kill. His incredible feats of agility, and his higher than normal endurance make him difficult to hit. This also means he can withstand much more punishment than your average human. When you factor in his regenerative capabilities, Anansi is one tough dude to take down.

Balance: Anansi can run across ropes or rails, stand on top of posts, effortlessly climb ropes and can easily recover from being thrown. It seems no matter what he is doing while in motion, it is highly unlikely for someone to knock him off balance.

Combat Reflexes: Anansi’s heightened balance and agility allow him to can to threats almost instantly. This makes him very difficult to surprise when in combat and makes him extremely effective in close-range hand-to-hand combat. In many cases he can go an entire fight dodging attacks, at close or far range, waiting for his opponent to tire out before engaging them.

Cute: There's no getting around it: Anansi is cute he has that kind of face and, combined with his self-effacing attitude and his tendency to put on an upbeat and sometimes ingenuous face, even acquiring a certain amount of scruffiness couldn't change the fact that he ridiculously cute. While he may one day grow into a handsome, sexy, even striking young man one day, right now Anansi is simply cute.

Flaw:

Inexperienced Heroism: Due to his relatively short time as a hero, Miles biggest weakness is his inexperience in being a costumed crime-fighter. He still is not completely sure what his powers make him capable of and this handicaps his effectiveness because of this.

Although he is very bright and seemingly mature for a 16 year-old, his age and lack of real world experiences is sometimes an obstacle in understanding the gravity of the situations around him. Miles has does not have the best combat skills, relying on his reflexes and as he his said himself: luck.

He has had no combat training beyond what he has learned from watching videos of Peter Parker in action and his own experimentation with his powers. This leads to him making tactical mistakes in fights, such as when he leaped into the center of a group of common thugs and was promptly floored with a punch to the face.

COLLATERAL

Equipment:

Web Shooters: Miles’ web-shooters are twin devices, worn on his wrists beneath the gauntlets of his costume that can shoot thin strands of a special "web fluid" at high pressure. The fluid itself is officially described as being pressurized at 300 psi. The spinneret mechanisms in each web-shooter are machined from stainless steel, except for the turbine component, which is machined out of a block of Teflon, and the two turbine bearings that are made of amber and artificial sapphire. The spinneret holes have three sets of adjustable, staggered openings around the turbine which permit a single, incredibly strong line; a more complex, spreading spray; and a thick, tremendously adhesive liquid.
The web line's tensile strength has been estimated to be 120 pounds per square millimeter of cross section. The 300-psi pressure in each cartridge is sufficient to force a stream of the complex web pattern an estimated 60 feet. It goes significantly farther if Spider-Man shoots it in a ballistic parabolic arc.

Web Fluid Cartridges: These cartridges contain a shear-thinning liquid, which is solid until a shearing force is applied to it, rendering it fluid, whose exact formula is unknown, but is related to nylon. On contact with air, the long-chain polymer knits and forms an extremely tough, flexible fiber with extraordinary adhesive properties. The web fluid's adhesive quality diminishes rapidly with exposure to air. After approximately 1 hour, certain imbibed esters cause the solid form of the web fluid to dissolve into a powder.

Smart Phone: Miles has been gifted with a smartphone as a means of keeping in contact with him. This was given to him by his members of his family and it can do many things. This phone can browse the internet, make calls, take pictures, and has access to thousands of applications that make it a very versatile piece of equipment.

Resource:

Part-time job: In and effort to become slightly more self sufficient, Miles has a part-time job after school in order to earn some extra cash. He works after school for about three hours a day delivering food for a local restaurant in his neighborhood. Counting his tips, he makes about an additional $150 per week.

Family: Miles currently receives the bulk of his support from his family. They feed and house him, as well as sporadically give him money if he needs it.

Transportation:

Metro Pass: Miles gets around during the day using his school metro pass, which does not expire until 7:30pm.

Web Slinging: At night, when costumed, Miles chooses to web sling across the city as his primary means of transportation.

Uniform:

Spider Suit: Miles wears a full body "Spider Suit" composed of a spandex like material. The suit is completely black with red trim, and a red spider on the back and front of the costume. The costume is also fitted with doubled sided lenses covering the ey

HISTORY

Character History:

After Norman Osborn was arrested by S.H.I.E.L.D, and publicly revealed as the Green Goblin, Osborn Industries was left abandoned. Shortly after being left abandoned, a thief broke into Osborn Industries. Unbeknownst to the thief, as he was rummaging through the debris for some loot, a spider genetically enhanced with the Oz Formula crawled into his bag. Filling his bag with stolen trinkets, Aaron Davis hastily made his retreat back to his home.

A short time after arriving back at his apartment, Aaron was shocked to receive a visit from his nephew Miles. For the most part he had thought his nephew had been banned from seeing him. Not questioning this visit too much, Aaron allowed his nephew into his home. Miles stayed with his uncle over the weekend and the two began to bond. It was during this stay that the Oz-enhanced spider, which emerged from Aaron’s bag, bit Miles. The bite was painful but, other than the initial pain, Miles didn’t think too much about it. He continued on with his visit over the weekend before returning home.

He had not been home long, maybe a day or so, before he began to feel under the weather. Taking a few swigs of Theraflu, he continued on his daily routine. The sickness lasted only a few days, but after this something amazing happened. Miles soon discovered that he had somehow received super-human abilities like camouflage, increased agility, and some sort of stun blast. Each of these abilities manifested in their own time, and always at times when Miles seemed to exhibit a large amount of emotional stress.

Feeling as if he needed to tell someone what was happening, he showed his newfound powers to his best friend, Ganke Lee. It was after this that they both concluded he had power similar to Spider-Man's, including wall-crawling. However, Miles was very agitated by this, as he just wanted to be normal, and decided to leave heroism to the actual Spider-Man. However, time and curiosity would lead Miles to become more curious about the life of a superhero. It was this curiosity that compelled him to wander his neighborhood after dark, looking to help those who may be in need of the help.

It was on one such patrol that he bit off more than he could chew, and found himself surrounded by several young men who were in the middle of robbing two young boys. Miles had jumped into the middle of the boys, putting him between the aggressors and the victims. He would learn to never do this again as he was quickly knocked to the ground by several hits from the aggressors. Luckily for him, the real Spider-Man had also been swinging around the area, and quickly jumped in to put a stop to the situation.

Spider-Man quickly dealt with the aggressors and made sure that the victims and Miles were okay. Looking at the costumed crime fighter, Miles felt compelled to tell him of his very similar. It was this chance meeting that would help Miles find his identity. This instance would also help him to obtain his web shooters, as nearly a week later he would find a package on his doorstep. He opened the package and was astounded at the twin devices along with a belt and several cartridges. Next to these items was a note that read: From your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. Time to make your mark on the city.
